Tracy Farmer Institute for Sustainability and the Environment is a cross-college entity at the University of Kentucky whose goal is to facilitate interdisciplinary efforts of faculty on campus to create transformative, new approaches to various environmental and sustainability issues that relate to today's grand challenge: providing the food, energy, and water necessary to support an expanding global population in a sustainable manner in the face of a changing climate.

2017 UK Graduate, Grace Coy, Leads Workshops to Preserve Lexington's Urban Forest


Grace graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science. She has interned with the UK Arboretum and was the recipient of a Summer Research and Creativity Fellowship grant. Now, she is working with TFISE's Urban Forest Initiative to motivate Lexington community members to become effective stewards of the trees in our yards and community.
